Pan Asian

Since making a stylish entrance on Chapel Street in April, 2009, this unique restaurant thrives upon the concept of fusion between Eastern flavours and Western cooking techniques. Executive chef Kin San, formerly of Taxi, leads a team of chefs into a world of Oriental cuisine, drawing influences from Chinese, Indian, Indochinese, Japanese, Malaysian and Thai traditions. The impressive dinner menu features a selection of small dishes such as salmon fishcakes with green pea curry sauce and fried calamari with chilli salt and Asian herb salad, as well as larger fare such as red-roasted duck legs with bok choy and ginger broth, and roast pumpkin and broccolini in a yellow curry sauce. If it's a quick fix you're after, Pan Asian's chill-out area is a supreme spot to savour tapas titbits paired with innovative cocktails like the Tonghua and Sake Mojito.

Giddy good
My sister suggested this place for a quick meal before drinks along chapel st a few months ago and always wanted to come back for a proper feed and that we did a few weeks ago. The dongpo pork was melt in your mouth good but not enough sauce and the Indian cheese spinach was so yum we had to order the roti to clean up every bit. Insanely delicious. We stayed on for a few cocktails and the pomegranate mojito was refreshing and potent!

Simply Lovely
Celebrated a milestone and couldn't have picked a nicer venue. Food was delicious and fresh and I particularly liked the scallop with apple miso I had for entree. Shared the stewed pork and tamarind beef cheek and both were pull apart tender but the beef was a bit spicy and the duck salad's dressing was divine.
Service was attentive and polite but the atmosphere of the dining room was simply rich, colorful and charming. Overall we had a gorgeous meal and price was reasonable enough for us to want to come back to try other dishes.

Oriental treasure
What a gem. Had a work function there and since I was a co organizer we were stressing out with so many in the team wanting different things and dietary requirements but staff were amazing and with the varied cuisine they managed to " design" a menu to please almost everyone. Food was awesome.

The restaurant was very impressive old style ornate ceiling and chandalier and service was good and unintrusive although the wait for our first course was quite long but they were full house when our group arrive.

Drinks took a while to come as well but the cocktail was deeelish and worth the wait

We had a birthday party there for 26 people the bill was $1,600 $40 per head for food if you could say that because there was no food everyone had to get takeaway on there way home , it was an absolute rip off
