I had breakfast here on the weekend and the place was full, the service efficient and the atmosphere relaxed. However, the food was a let-down. We tried the pancakes with maple syrup, berries and cream and they tasted odd. I don't know what the syrup was, but it definitely wasn't maple or even maple-flavoured, it seemed colourless and was fairly tasteless. Pancakes are so simple and yet they didn't manage to get them right.
