Wood and glass panelled booths, brass fittings, ageing papered ceilings, dark wood tables and framed photographs of Ireland's cultural heritage give Paddy's the feel of a good old-fashioned pub. But cosmetic touches alone don't create the atmosphere. If you're looking for a bit of Irish craic and some traditional pub grub, look no further than this corner joint on Subi's Barker Road. Beef and Guinness pie, bangers 'n' mash, lamb shanks, steaks, burgers and fish 'n' chips, they're all here - along with a few less traditional beer-friendly feasts such as lasagne and chicken parmigiana. Come on a Monday night and test your general knowledge in the quiz. Pop in on Wednesday to exercise your vocal chords in the karaoke. Or drop by on a Friday or Saturday evening and enjoy live music from talented local bands.

Paddy's is great!
First time to Paddy's on Friday night and we pleasantly surprised by the very comfortable dining area. The food was delicious - I had the steak pie and my partner had the slow roasted pork. An extensive specials board and soda bread as a side! well it doesn't get better than that.
Happy hour between 5-6pm on a Friday and on a night when the place was packed with footy fans we were seated with no grumbles about not having a reservation and the service was fantastic.
Can't wait to try the Irish breakfast.

Congealed mess
We thought we would give Paddy's a go again. We've had ordinary meals there before but thought we would give it another go. Well, this rated as the worst meal we have ever eaten, yes worse than school dinners! First of all our meals were delivered separately by at least 5 minutes. The presentation of both meals was woeful & not as described on the menu. The steak I had was not cooked as requested & the seasoned vegetables were deep fried! We complained & were told that the chef couldn't cook both meals so that they arrived together! The assistant manager agreed the congealed gravy was not the best. I do not recommend unless you miss the school dinners!
