Situated in the building that was formerly Alice Springs' town hall, the Overlander Steakhouse has a long history. Some of the overlanders - the explorers, settlers and miners - who once ventured out into Australia's unknown were honoured there. You can now get some fine steak in this refurbished old town hall, which has real rustic charm. The famous Drovers Blowout is a four-course adventure that starts off with soup and damper, gives you a platter of such meats as crocodile, camel and emu, lets you choose a barramundi or rump steak main, and finishes up with apple pie or pavlova.
