In many ways St Leonards can be described as simply a corporate industrial area. Its defining features are a train station, a hospital and a skyline of office buildings. That's why it's so refreshing to find a venue trying to change that.
This cafe has taken the uniformity of the area and turned it on its head, using polished concrete floors and plywood tables to contrast against a montage of family photos and messy, handwritten blackboards and create a comfortable space.
All the usual cafe fare is here: big breakfasts and healthy wraps to go along with the mandatory freshly-ground coffee.
