Despite the name, this place isn't a Down Under version of the Honky Tonk bars that litter the southern United States. The different branches of the Outback Steakhouse chain that have sprung up throughout New South Wales all take pride, not in the gimmicky decor, but in the notion that these restaurants are a casual place for everyone to relax and enjoy.
As you'd expect, the menu leans heavily towards ribs, rumps and burgers but there are plenty of other options for those who don't want to have a cow. Pasta, soup, salad and seafood all play a supporting role on the menu and a separate gluten-free menu makes the dining out experience here even easier.
