Otis prides itself on great fresh food at a reasonable price in an upmarket cafe area. Occupying a fine corner location which offers a panoramic view of the curvy Bridport streetscape, this new wave cafe draws a varied crowd from families and dog-toting singles to local business people enjoying long lunches. The menu boasts all day breakfast, brunch, lunch, and afternoon bar snacks leading into dinner, accompanied by a gargantuan drinks menu of cocktails, liqueur coffees, and probably one of Melbourne's most exhaustive wine lists featuring close to 130 varieties imported from all over Australia, France and New Zealand.
The food menu is seasonally revised but is guaranteed to feature rich flavours from a variety of continents. Try the crunchy marinated tofu with soba noodles, greens and sesame ginger dressing; Pappardelle with cauliflower, hazelnuts, parsley, pangratta and truffle oil; or Rissini with prawns, tomato, fetta and calamari. If spicy Mexican or Middle Eastern cuisines are more appealing try the chicken chilli with jalapeno corn bread and avocado salsa salad; or Arabian Bharat fish curry. With polished floor boards, a slick mirrored bar, and electro jazz style beats, Otis has a formal appeal but the service is warm and locals are more than welcome to drop by for a casual latte at the alfresco wooden deck-style seating where, unlike the rest of bustling Bridport Street, they will most likely find a quiet space to breathe.

Had the best steak at Otis last night that I have had in many a year. Potato cake with Kale in it was definitely different and reminded me of Ireland. Great service, amazing wine list and we came away so impressed that value for money can be found in Albert Park! Staff were so terrific, treated us like long lost friends, very welcoming... even to children! 10 out of 10 Otis, keep up the good work!

I sampled many meals in my journey across Oz and I have to say that Otis rocks. Divine food, great service, sublime atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
