Leichhardt's Norton Street is synonymous with Italian eateries. So much so that it can be a little overwhelming, with virtually nothing to distinguish the eateries if you don't have any insider knowledge. One of the choices available is the little southern Italian eatery of Osvaldo Polletti. The vibrant home-style trattoria's earthy tone carries over into the food they serve. The dishes are bold and elegantly simple - rich with rustic flavours, traditional and true to the south. The menu is not exclusively southern though; the odd northern selection does get a look in on the ever-changing list.
