Taking over the old site of Da Sette Soldi, this jovial trattoria brings new life to this strip of Clayfield. You may think it's a new Italian restaurant taking over from an old one, and yes, the food is still Italian - but not as Clayfield has seen in a long time.
If the style of cuisine here feels somewhat familiar, then chances are you have experienced Nundah's Cortina. The owners of Osteria Da Vinci, Vittorio and Barbara, cut their culinary teeth at Cortina and now have moved to Clayfield to truly extend themselves. Expect the same warm hospitality and hearty Italian fare that made the Nundah restaurant such a success.

great wedding anniversary!!!!
My husband and I booked to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised when they greeted us with a complimentary glass each of bubbly. Then we started with our meals. The entrees were amazing ... the carpaccio ...just outstanding. The chilli bugs was amazing and the lamb so tasty and also very tender. My husband enjoyed a Peroni beer and I a really nice glass of Chianti clasico. The service was spot on, the waiter always there when needed, but he did not get in the way. Everything was so enjoyable we relented and decided to share dessert and coffee. That also did not disappoint. Will definitely return with friends. Cannot wait!! 28/01/2012

Simplicity is the key to sophistication
I went for dinner with my fiancee a couple of weeks ago, one of our friends talked highly of Vittorio and his cousine, so with curiosity we decided to head out. We arrived and straight away we were welcomed with a warm smile, Front of house was absolutely full but what really captured our eyes was the detailed description of the menu and wine listing... We had Focaccia Leonardo made with spinach, parmesan and mozzarella :), mains included of ( even though heaps to choose from!) stuffed lamb in a crust of amonds and chilli bugs, which where absolutely delicious... Ending it off with a sublime Chocolate suffle' & an outstanding semifredo with crocanttina.. I cant say its been our cheapesr night but i do have to admit it is worth every cent.. Having also met the bubbly and show-man like character of the owner victorio it was a complete and wonderful experience :) definetly to be visited again soon!
