Upon entering this up-market steakhouse you're greeted by a black-and-white feature wall of bold-lettered words describing every type of meat in the house. Premium beef, wagyu, grain-fed, filet mignon, New York, sirloin, Scotch fillet, Kobe and T-bone all get a look-in, while the detailed menu goes further by explaining the finer matters regarding cooking styles, meat cuts, ageing, marbling and the all-important wine matching. One thing is clear: Osso Steak & Ribs takes its passion for beef seriously. Along with the many Aussie grill options, Osso offers deli bites, tapas plates, seafood (including a lobster mornay), chicken, duck, ribs, salad and a couple of vegetarian picks, too. All in all, this restaurant and cocktail lounge is a swish addition to the Penrith Panthers Club.

Great Food, Sterile Atmosphere
My husband and I ate at Osso's recently for a special night out. This was out first time at the Panther's Complex. The food at Osso's was really great. The steaks were just brillant and cooked to our liking, exactly as we had asked. The side serve of chips and salad was very nice. I chose the mushroom sauce and I must say, this was the only disappointment. You are charged $2.50 for the sauce (which I think is very tacky anyway when you are paying $34.00 for a steak!) and I'm sure it was straight out of a giant caterer's vat- sauce was starchy and mushrooms were leathery. The staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive without being over bearing. Chocolate dessert was fantastic. The deli style atmosphere did not appeal to me as I found it to be very sterile and a bit silly really. We were very impressed with the food though and will certainly try again, without the sauce this time!!
