Away from the hustle and bustle of chaotic King Street, Oscillate Wildly sits in an eclectically chic and intimate space. Seating only 28 people, the restaurant is booked out for weeks in advance. Don't let this deter you though - on offer is an amazing journey through the world of molecular gastronomy.
After finding its feet under the guidance of young impresarios Dan Puskas and James Parry, the restaurant now calls Karl Firla - previously of three-hatters Marque and est. - head chef. While still pushing the avant-garde, Firla brings his classical training to bear offering dishes that range from simple to sublime such as the cured bonito.
Oscillate Wildly is sure to set pulses racing with its eight-course degustation, bringing some much needed funk and whimsy to an otherwise sober Sydney fine-dining scene.

Newtown's best
This is quite possibly the best restaurant in Newtown, and certainly the best value.
You really feel like you've hit the jackpot when you dine here, (the months long wait to get in heightens the anticipation!), the innovative cuisine is similar to fine dining restaurants like Marque, only for a fraction of the price, and in a casual setting.
Start planning ahead now to reserve your table for months to come, have the 3 courses for $55 and make sure to take your best bottle of wine, you'll be in for a gastronomic delight.

Great Restaurant
This is a must-visit restaurant for any inner-city food lover. Three courses for around $45, with BYO. Great host and delicious food and the menu changes regularly. Would love to eat here all the time - the food is quality and make sure to book in advance as this place is always full!!!
