Not the bext sushi in the world but good experience
We got a tatami room when they opened - we came with a 3.5 yo and two babies. The service was very friendly and mostly quick.
The sushi was decent, though is not going to wow you, but the overall experience is very good.

A sumptious dinner to say the least!
We've thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant 3 times now. It's the only Japanese place with original seating (privacy) and the tempura and sukiyaki was just devine! The third time we had drunk youngsters next to us, but once they left all was well. The only thing that I was dissappointed about, was that I couldn't get a Japanese Slipper ( a cocktail), that usually is well known in Japanese restaurants. Perhaps the owners could read up on it? [grins] The service was good also and it wasn't too over the top expensive either. Thank you for some great nights out!

Traditional Modest Japanese dining.
The service wasn't the best, but the food and setting is gorgeous. You have to get a Tatami Room which is not as private as you think but the rice paper wallstands that seperate the tables do help you feel like you are in a private room. Modest, traditional. Try it at least once. Look to be spending around $35 per head (including drinks).
