Roast meats hang in the window of the Oriental Inn, a perfect advertisement of the delights within. Absurdly colourful meats, shiny ducks and chickens may look surreal, but on the plate they are crisp, juicy and oh so tasty. The team in the kitchen perform a skilful weaving of flavours - bitter, salty, sweet and hot, to create remarkably good versions of Cantonese favourites. Decor is not important when the food is this good, but the restaurant is clean and simple, and provides a perfectly adequate canvas for their culinary art.
