Siblings Ben and Jodie Johnson are trying their hand at running their own restaurant, bringing their wealth of experience to an impressive modern Australian menu. The duo have revamped the dining room of this Red Hill venue, polishing away the signs of its previous owners and making it their own with simple, clean lines. From each table there are gorgeous views of the city below, but be warned: there is a very tempting, extensive wine list available, so make sure you designate a driver - it's a long walk home.

All Good
The view from Red hill is even better than I had remembered. Onred is well designed with alcoves for couples at the window for that special occasion and plenty of room for larger groups who can also take in the view. Its even better than the photos on the web site can depict.
Entrees (oysters with cucumber vodka and lime, and rabbit were excellent. Mains were on the small side - consider sharing sides if you are hungry. You can spend as much as you want on wine.
Service is prompt and attentive. I can reccomend On red for a special occasion and a great place to show off Canberra to an out-of-town friend.

Simply stunning views and excellent experience!
We attended a wedding @ OnRed. Fantastic venue as the sun is setting, watching the lights of Canberra come on. Food was great and menu choices were generous. The creme brulee is a must! Extensive wine list and friendly staff hepl put this venue on par with Canberra's best! We'll certainly go back.
