The Omeros family have been in the business of serving seafood since 1968 and their dedication to the freshest fare of the sea lives on at this waterfront Gold Coast restaurant.
The restaurant is located at the Marina Mirage where patrons can relax, dine and dream of life on board one of the many million dollar yachts that float by this large, open plan restaurant. Smart-casual in style, Omeros Bros caters for family get-togethers, intimate dinners and parties.
Head Chef John Omeros prepares a menu to delight and entice all seafood fans with simple meals that highlight natural flavours. The seafood platter is a favourite for those who can't choose between crustacean, fish, oyster or octopus; and several non-seafood options are available for seafood abstainers.

Service here is more miss than hit.
We were promptly seated at a table of our choice on our arrival. From then on though, we were promptly forgotten about by our waiter. All around us, other waiters seemed very busy whereas ours seemed to disappear into the ether. We eventually asked the head waiter for service after waiting for about 25 minutes. After this our waiter finally came over and promptly went into damage control and gave us excuses as to why he was too busy to serve us. After finally ordering from the set lunch menu, the food did arrive quite quickly and was of a fairly good standard. The barramundi fillet I ordered was thick and plump and quite large so no complaints there. Plus it was nice to be sitting on the water's edge and looking out over the marina. Note though, these views are reflected in the price of the food. Don't come here if you are on a tight budget.

Lovely position, average food
If you want to enjoy a meal by the water, by all means drop into to Omeros Brothers. The wait staff are friendly, professional and proficient, the views are outstanding. The only area that could have a revamp is the kitchen. While the food is palatable, it lacks an edge and direction that could make it a truly unforgetable dining experience.
