Sitting in the Clarion Hotel on Canterbury, Oliver's Restaurant offers a fine dining experience with a menu of mod-Oz treats. On offer here are delightfully decadent dishes such as an entree of pork belly, Jerusalem artichoke and vanilla puree, or a duck confit with wild mushroom tatin. Mains are equally as attractive, with a slow-cooked ox cheek tagine with preserved lemon and fresh dates - great to warm the soul on a chilly winter's night.

Review for Oliver's Restaurant
Service is slow - there's only 5 occupied tables that evening, though one table has a relatively big group. Waited 45 mins for main course- medium well steak. Though waiter did apologise for the wait, he advised that the delay was due to 30mins needed to cook the medium well steak! The steak was also very dry and salty. The wait put me off as I was so sleepy by the time I finished my main course, so I skipped desert.
