Sitting right on the water, overlooking beautiful Moreton Bay, this charming and sophisticated restaurant offers a nice selection of modern Australian treats. With the relaxing sound of the ocean so close, stick with the theme and order your meal from the vast selection of seafood dishes. The salmon linguini with fresh rocket is a popular entree choice, while the pan-seared snapper with tomato and coriander sauce, zucchini cakes, potato rosti and seasonal vegetables is always in high demand. Dessert is a must, so go on and carelessly indulge in their tempting creme brulee - you can always walk it off along the moonlit beach afterwards.

Dinner for special guests
Entertaining friends from overseas and thought to impress them with our local fare. We and they were not dissapointed with excellent service fabulous food in an atmosphere second to non. Complimented by great deserts and hot coffee at a more than reasonable price. We will be back.

Was very disappointed
Went for dinner and was very disappointed by this restaurant. We expected better service and quality of food considering what we paid. Our waitress corked the bottle of wine and poured our glasses at the main reception counter then brought over the two glasses to the table, then the bottle of wine! We ordered entrees and it took the waitress 30 minutes to remove our finished entree plates. Mains were nice but nothing to return back too. The restaurant looks very nice but the service was poor and food average. Would not be returning there are better restaurants on the Manly strip to go to.

A pleasant lunch
Seven of us were welcomed to a well-set table in an airy space with a view of the boat harbour.
Our polite and efficient hostess promptly brought water, drinks, ice buckets and menus. We were impressed by the scope of the lunch menu: a variety of moderately-priced meals comprising meat, fish, pasta, lighter bread-based items and vegetarian fare.
We did not wait long for our varied choices and all found the food thoughtfully prepared and ample, with particular praise for the barramundi and creamy sauces to accompany the ravioli. Only the generous serves prevented some of our number ordering from a tempting dessert menu. The coffee was hot and strong.
For all of us, this was a pleasant dining experience, one to be recommended to others.

Got told this was the place to eat in Manly
We had family up from Melbourne and decided to take them out to one of our local dining precincts, which is Manly. We decided to go to Oliver's due to it's close proximity to the water, overlooking the yachts.
The venue was clean and nicely presented... it was all downhill from there. We ordered our entrees and drinks after being seated for 25 minutes. 20 Minutes after that, our breads and oysters arrived, and after another 10 minutes two of the four drinks arrived, then 5 minutes later the other two drinks arrived (these were the only drinks we were offered or received, other than water).
We then waited for our mains and the plates from entrees were cleared only just prior to our mains arriving, a full 40 minutes later. The plates came out slowly, individually, over a five to 10 minute period. They weren't worth waiting for. The salmon was came out apparently fresh from the microwave. I've never seen a piece of salmon so overcooked (it could be picked up off the plate in one piece that didn't bend or break). The Malaysian prawn curry was drowned in a sauce that had to be full of msg. The lamb fillet was cooked well done and the jus more closely resembled gravy sauce. All up a meal that could be outdone at home. Not worth the $30 per plate.
