Conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne, these casual eateries offer you an authentic taste of Malaysian cuisine - from a hawker-style ikan bakar (grilled fish in banana leaf) to mamak-style roti.
The two locations in the city make Old Town a very convenient lunchtime destination for office workers and Malaysian food enthusiasts alike. Be sure to check out the bakar (barbecue) at the QV store or go for the asam fish head curry at the original on Little Bourke Street - it's a true Malaysian delicacy.

Very nice food with a bustling atmosphere
My companion and I ordered the lunch time special with a choice of 2 nasi lemak style meat dishes. He had the prawns and chicken whereas I had the eggplant and fried squid. The food was nice and spicy and we were happy to see that the place was licensed as we weren't sure it would be. Service was good and the food was served promptly. I can see why within 15 minutes, the place was packed for Friday lunch however this made it very loud in there. Old Town is highly recommended but get here early otherwise you will never get a seat.
