A Subiaco Gourmet Gem
I took my two school aged children to Ogilvie's on Friday for a breakfast holiday treat. It was such a simple, lovely experience. A short breakfast menu provided fare for both children and grown-ups to enjoy. The coffee was hot and arrived promptly. Hot buttery toast with his own jam jars arrived for my son! The two girls dined on poached eggs - so simple yet so easy to get wrong (and messy at home). The staff were friendly and interested yet unobtrustive. The children were welcome - but only well-behaved and seated children would be tolerated by the older Subiaco crowd. And we bought some of the preserves to take home as well as a birthday gift for a tricky-to-buy for grandad!
