Located at the rear of the Centenary Pub, this restaurant offers modern European fare . O'Connells offers sophistication and panache, with feature dishes such as the oven-roasted Gippsland grass-fed lamb rack with cous cous tabouli, baba ghanoush and a salad of red onion, parsley and sumac; and the pan-seared snapper with parsnip puree, wood-grilled asparagus, crab bisque and steamed vongole. Enjoy a drink in the popular bar before the meal, or simply choose from their extensive wine list while indulging in a feast.

Dont believe the hype
Don't neccessarily believe the hype. The food at O'Connells is good but not extraordinary. Entree was calamari with an Asian salad which was fresh and crisp but not fiery or fragrant enough for my taste. The Porterhouse was beautifully cooked, but on the whole...they play it very safe with flavours. The sides of potatoes, mash and pumpkin with pine nuts are definitely where they got more adventurous.
