Sometimes a name perfectly describes a place. Such is the case with Oasis Bakery, a bakery, cafe and grocery store that is indeed an oasis of Middle Eastern foods. Housed on Murrumbeena's modest shopping strip, this vibrant provedore divides the cafe and grocer sections in two, although given the calibre of authentic nosh here, you're bound to visit both.
In the cafe and bakery, the fresh Lebanese pizzas and pitas, pastries, wraps, shawarma, falafel, mixed plates, dips and baklava prove hard to resist. If you prefer a do-it-yourself approach, check out the multitude of Middle Eastern spices, herbs, nuts, beans, grains, olive oils, Turkish breads, wild Iranian figs and other goodies in the grocer.
