I agree... Try it for yourself.
I also went with a voucher and the portion size was actually correct as we did not leave much on the plate! I was even able to eat some of the chips (which were fantastic shoestring and crunchy). We drove down from A North Brisbane suburb and I was also sceptical about what we would get after reading the reviews. The wait staff were all young and other tables did have to ask to have their order taken but we had good service and the the food was delicious. One thing though... if like me you attract any mozzies from with 10kms then take or wear repellent.

Try it for yourself!
My friend and I were in town for the weekend and had purchased a scoopon voucher for the seafood extravaganza. After reading the reviews we were not expecting much at all and even considered cutting our losses and going somewhere else. We are glad we didn t as we were pleasantly surprised. We got a table right by the water and were quickly served with our wine. We found the wait staff friendly and had quick service. They even accommodated us by changing the oysters to prawns. Although it wasn t an extravaganza (remember people this is a high end restaurant small meals with big prices) there was enough to fill us. We couldn t fault the quality of the food, it was delicious and we even splurged on desert which we highly recommend. We thought the voucher was value for money. We usually don t leave reviews but thought we should considering there were so many bad ones.

Disappointed Returned Customers
After visiting this restaurant 4 times and recommending to our friends on many occasions we had a less than satisfactory dining experience today: Waited 10 Minutes until acknowledged Dropped Menus and waited a further 5 minutes until asked for our order,including drinks. Received starter, had to enquire about our drinks Received drinks and followed very shortly(5 minutes) by mains, still half way through starter. The Mushroom Risotto was barely warm and had to be reheated.On a positive side the other two mains were great. Previously we had a great time and stayed for a couple of hours having dessert, coffee and enjoying the music. Unfortunately after barely 50 minutes we left. I must also say that the girl who we settled the accoumt was pleasant and apologized for the delay in tending our account.(you were busy) We are local Gold Coast residents who love to dine and struggle finding top class casual dining on the coast. I am hoping that we just got you on a bad day. No sour grapes just disappointed.
