The enthusiastic compliments that are thrown around in reference to Thai chef Nu Suandokmai are enough to give any sceptical foodie pause, but many a South Australian claim he is one of the best chefs they have ever had (and lost). South Australia's loss is Sydney's gain, as Suandokmai has travelled north and set up his latest venture in McMahons Point. Within the atmospheric space of an old two-storey building, Suandokmai serves up his interpretation of modern Thai food - a winning combination of traditional flavours with a touch of French technique and a contemporary twist.
