Norton Street is known for its plethora of Italian restaurants, but now one little Greek kid is standing up to them all. As one of the only Greek eateries on the Leichhardt strip, the pressure is on for this establishment. Using traditional-style recipes and ingredients of the highest quality, Nostos is becoming famous for its "arni", a slow oven-baked shoulder of lamb. If you're after a quiet meal, be sure to dine before the weekend: once Friday night comes around, live music will have you up and dancing before you've even had a chance to digest your souvlaki. Nostos is Norton Street Greek at its finest.

My mum wasn t the only one spoilt this Mother s Day!
To celebrate Mother s Day yesterday, my family and I went to Nostos on Norton Street, Leichhardt. We were transported to Greece with an array of wonderfully presented and heavenly Greek cuisine.
Being Mother s Day, and it was clearly obvious they were fully booked (not a spare table in sight!), there was a set menu, and there was definitely no disappointment!
We were welcomed with open arms by the friendly staff and no sooner had we all been seated, the entrees started arriving to the table; and we well and truly tucked in. Just as we had thought that we were almost finished our meal, the mains started to arrive and we undid our belts and continued to feast. The desserts and coffee were also exceptional, and we all left beaming with joy for this wonderful meal we all felt privileged to have shared.
I cannot express how wonderful the food was; fresh, wonderfully presented and very generous! With a dietary requirement, I was well catered for and very well looked after. The staff were exceptional on the day; extremely attentive, wonderfully accommodating and always with a smile on their faces and always with time to check in to ask how our meals were and listen to our words of praise.
We could not have asked for better service or better food; and I must also note, better company...
I would highly recommend Nostos for any occasion or if just wishing to eat out for dinner during the week or lunch on a Sunday. I can wholly guarantee you will not be disappointed and will be eagerly looking at your diary to book in your next visit!
