Northbridge Chinese Restaurant

Don't be fooled by its modest name: this bustling Asian restaurant serves a tasty selection of dim sum dishes, including steamed pork and prawn dumplings, Chinese pork sausage rolls, squid tentacles and deep-fried seafood balls. Modest prices mean meals rarely tip over the $15 mark, while a bustling patronage sets the tone for some lively, communal dining. But beware, the extensive menu and acute popularity mean you better get in early before the mad weekend rush.

the worst experience i've had in a long time
We ordered 2 main dishes to share between the two of us. The waitress offered us the peking duck and i asked if it was an entree and she replied 'whatever you like'. We agreed to having it as an entree. The food was oily and overly salted, it tasted like any cheap chinese you would get in a food hall. My husband had one beer and i drank water. When we went to pay we were shocked to see that the bill came to $87!!!
Do yourself a favour and do NOT visit this restaurant. The service and food was mediocre and the price was exuberant!

Yum yum yum!
This place has the best yum cha Northbridge has to offer. It's seasoned nicely, not to salty, the food is always steaming hot, the seaweed rolls are the best. Yum cha isn't yum cha til you've had sui mai (the pork dumplings) and the clams are absolutely delightful. I absolutely love the spare ribs dish, yum! And you can't beat the freshly steamed greens (gai lan) with a dash of oyster sauce. Highly recommended!
