Argentinian Bar & Grill

Bringing the Argentinean passion for meat to Hindmarsh, this bar and grill serves up enormous slabs of aged beef to make any committed carnivore proud. With servings of up to one kilogram of meat and the solid setting of the renovated 1850s hotel, this restaurant is perhaps written off as too masculine by less enthusiastic meat eaters, but the scope is broader than it first appears. Meats go beyond merely the bovine, with goat and duck making appearances. Seafood features and even vegetarians won't go hungry.

Just what the doctor ordered
I had recently heard from a collegue of mine that The Argentinean Bar & Grill had gone through some major changes since it's old days trading as Norberto's.
I needed to impress a major client of our companys so I decided to have lunch there the other day.
If you are a meat eater like me, enjoy SA's finest red wine and desire excellent service, then these guys deliver. It helped close a major account so I will definetely be back!

Ate there with a party of eight in early June 2007. Food very good, desserts quite special. Unfortunately were slugged $30 for water. It is quite devious how they do this, they keep filling your glass up and take the bottle away between refills (as they did with the wine bottles) so beware.

Disappointing Level of Service
Walking into Norberto's and being virtually ignored was not a good start. The restaurant was approximately two-thirds full, but we found it difficult to attract the attention of the maitre d’, who seemed rather disinterested in seating us. Unfortunate acoustics made conversation difficult at times, thanks to a large noisy table nearby. Admittedly the food was excellent, the steaks well deserving of their first-class reputation. Unfortunately, the wonderful food was overshadowed by the poor service. Drinks ordered were not delivered and table service was intermittent. When presented with the bill, we were annoyed to find we had been charged for drinks ordered but not received. Overall a disappointing experience.

Awesome Steak and Chicken
The Argentinean Bar and Grill is by far the best restaurant I have been to in Australia. I recently visited Las Vegas and dined our every night at famous restaurants and wished that there was a place like this in Adelaide.

Well there is, this place has huge steaks that are just divine and the chicken off the bone is second to none.

The waiters are very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice.
