Fanciers of the French way are bound to fall for that certain je ne sais quoi of this Port Melbourne bakery cafe. As its sign reads, Noisette is a "boulangerie, patisserie, chocolaterie" - or, more plainly, a specialist in breads, pastries and chocolates. Indeed, the long, luxurious cabinets house both the sweet - including tarts, muffins, cakes and macaroons - and the savoury, such as gourmet baguettes, sourdough rolls, sausage rolls and croissants. This sophisticated little shopfront has a few tables outside, though you may prefer to savour a chocolate brioche with a coffee among the scents of pastry in the cosy den of Noisette.
