Unfortunately not as good as some people say
Being quite new to Canberra I asked around for Yam Cha places. Half of the people I asked shook their heads and said, "Sadly you have to go to Sydney", some others recommended this place.
Look going to Sydney is fine, but maybe a little over the top for a good old lazy weekend lunch Yam Cha with friends.
So we tried.
It has all the usual attributes of a successful Yam Cha place (that is why I gave it 3 stars), the queue, the crowds, the rude madam at the front, the cute waiters, the poor service, the small tables and uncomfortable chairs, the food trolleys.
But the rest - forget it!
The food was absolutely tasteless and overpriced. A variety of dishes, but we soon ran out of options. Everything tasted the same. And when we asked for cut fresh chilli in soya sauce we were charged extra for it.
Never again the Noble Palace for us - and if I have to drive to Sydney or fly to Melbourne or back to Perth for Yam Cha, so be it!

I keep going back
This is no doubt one of the best Yum Cha restaurants I'v been to. The service is great the food is great the place is always packed so book before you go.

Be prepared to pay a bit more for the seafood dishes as they are bit more expensive that said everything is good. :) So give it a go.

Best yum cha in Canberra
This place is packed for weekend yum cha and it's easy to see why. The food is delicious, hot and fresh. The service is pleasant and quick. We've also been here for dinner and it was beautiful fresh and just a little different to the usual Chinese meal - this is was a good thing! Best of all, it has a much nicer atmosphere than your standard suburban Chinese restaurant. We keep coming back...

OMG YUMM
I would have to say that of all the Chinese restaurants here in Canberra this is the best hands down.... My husband and i have been all around the world and didn't think that we would ever find anything that matched a small Chinese restaurant we used to go to on Okinawa Japan. Well we were wrong for sure. Though I found the waiters a little hard to understand and vice versa it didn't tarnish the experience at all. I would say that if we didn't plan on trying a new restaurant every week then this would be the place we would go. I will definitely be back!!!!

Best Chinese in Canberra
If you are after the best Chiense food in Canberra then look no further than the noble palace. The crab here is so good we are always looking forward to our next visit to order it again. The wait staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable time. We have tried so many Chinese in Canberra but this one is the best.

Very average!!
We ordered satay pork... The satay did not even taste like it had one peanut in it. We ordered mongolian beef - It did not taste like mongolian sauce whatsoever... The food was not as good as we had anticipated - It was very average. The price was good that is all that they have going for them. Not Impressed!!!

Superlative !
Noble Palace is THE best Chinese restaurant in Canberra by a country mile.

The food was to die for and it wasn't your run of the mill menu as in most other Chinese restaurants. Each dish had a different twist and was presented beautifully. The waiters were very attentive and helpful.

We will definitely be coming back to try out all the other dishes.

Yum Yum
The food at this place is amazing. I have been to many Chinese restaurants in Canberra - ranging from the usual Dickson St to the smaller suburban delights. However - this place has set the bar. I tried their duck tongue stir-fried with basil and it was great. Give it a go if you are looking for something different. Their fish was juicy and succulent and their lobster sashimi was sweet and crisp! Prices are reasonable as well. If you are looking out for a new dining experience in Canberra - this is the place to go!

Food, service, atmosphere and surroundings are of a very high standard and I would recommend the Noble Palace as being the best Chinese restaurant in the ACT.
