The new Nick's promises to bring its familiar recipe for success to its incredible new beachside location in the Bondi Pavilion, smack in the middle of the promenade. Combining fresh seafood dishes with chargrilled steaks, Nick's emphasises simplicity in its meals, focusing on fresh produce while resisting the urge to interfere with it. The result is a menu with very few surprises, but what it lacks in innovation it gains in consistency - and in intelligible and pronounceable menu descriptions. The restaurant is decorated with beach murals on the walls, but who needs decor when the view out the window is of the most iconic beach in Australia? Nick's provides a feeling of being right in the thick of the milling hordes, while still removed enough so you can relax and enjoy your glass of wine with a plate of freshly shucked oysters.

A night to remember
The view is to die for, how romantic! Service was impeccable - I felt like a princess! The food divine. What more can you ask for? You don't need a window seat in this restaurant to feel like your'e dining alfresco. Simply brilliant.

Rather Pricey, but Great Views
You can't beat the atmosphere at Nick's. It's right on the beachfront and you can see the beach while you're having dinner. The food is ok, (pretty average and quite expensive considering what you get) the service is ok (I've been twice - once with very good service, once with quite bad); but when you've got views like that you can get away with it!
