Northcote brekkie institution the Breakfast Club now has a dinnertime counterpart of equal repute next door in the aptly named Next Door Diner. Run by Breakfast Club owner Kati Bottomley, Emily Pullen of St Jude's, and chef Leilani Wolfenden of the now-defunct est est est and Ondine, this warm and quirky little cafe and bar aims to titillate and tantalise locals with an always-changing modern Australian menu. On any given night you may be served pork cheek, wild barramundi or a classic Eton mess, propelled by the seasonal and regional Victorian produce Next Door proudly uses.
