NewQuay International Buffet and Bar

Serving up anything from Peking duck to a chocolate fountain, this waterside restaurant is perfect for those who want to enjoy a taste of everything.
The gourmet buffet here features all manner of treats, such as fresh seafood, roasted meats and salads. On weekends, a wider range of dishes are on offer, with Japanese pancakes and satay skewers just some of the additions to the menu.

Diners can make a selection from the comprehensive drinks list to accompany the feast, or may choose to leave it up to fate with the "pot luck" glass of wine option.

It could be better with a bit more effort
We booked for 12 people for lunch, and were told to pay deposit, otherwise the booking is not valid. Got to restaurant and it was not full at all, the manager was in very cold attitude and not keen to have customers. We had been here few times before, good for family gathering, food was OK, everyone could get what they liked without compromising. We hope to see some improvement in the future with better services and nice smile on manager's face.

No customer service what so ever!
The few times that i have dealt with this restaurant is below par of customer service expectations. My attempted at increasing the number of people attending lunch from 8 to 10 failed even though initially said yes but then changed their mind when they found out the two additional were children. They next informed me that i was most welcome to leave my children at the front of their restaurant door and asked whether i would like to cancel the booking. I initially cancelled but then rang back two minutes late and informed them i will still keep the booking. One hour later a text message was sent to me informing me that my booking has been cancelled. When i rang back to clarify details they told me that my booking has been given to some one else. On three occasions this restaurant have left me with a very lasting impression - never return here again!!!! Service is just as important as the food that are served!

Docklands
Ive been here twice,

I have been twice, and the food and lack of attention to detail is obvious. some of the food dishes are ok, some are not.

Both times ive been the service has been pretty poor, being forced to stand at the door waiting for service, not receiving bills, not recieving drinks, not having plates cleared, and it wasnt even busy

the atomosphere was ok, however we were freezing, as we were under the air conditioner, we asked 3 times to have it turned down, which they didn't so we just moved tables. The food is fairly cheap and nasty but for the price its average

the lack of respect to customers ruins an otherwise fantastic restaurant.
the lack of respect to customers ruins an otherwise fantastic restaurant.

I used to love this restaurant and get all my friend there. Until this time a friend visiting me overseas bring his child, 7 years old, junior school grade 1, less than 1.2 metres tall.

The manager asked us afew times and he won't believe, he than turn to the child playing away from the table asking about her age.

It was just rediculous. Why should a loyal customer returns almost everyweek should cheat you for a 20% discount, which was only 9 dollars.

My friend was angrey and the night was not good at all. He went to talk with the manager and the answer was "we have the right to do that". I think he was right, and obviously we also have the right to spreed the story.
