Long the domain of newshounds, politicians and suits looking to de-stress after a long day, the National Press Club of Australia's recently refurbished Club Lounge continues to grow in popularity. This members-and-guests-only venue features an attractive main bar (where "politically incorrect" cocktails like the Working Families mojito and Climate Change cosmopolitan are served), a suave piano bar, cosy lounge areas, and even a reading room and computer stations. If you don't have time to visit the award-winning Column restaurant on the first floor, you can now have an afternoon tea or tapas nibble at the Club Lounge.
