Branching out from the original My Thai Restaurant in Auchenflower, this Thai cooking school, grocery store, and eat in and takeaway spot brings a slightly different style of Thai food to Milton.
The food taught and cooked here by Taya Meeigeaw (daughter of My Thai Restaurant's Busara Nulnana) is certainly not the sweet, Australianised versions of Thai classics many of us are used to, with slightly more intensity and "kick", and a balance of sweet, salty and sour flavours.
The tiny eat-in shop front is only open three days a week and for lunch only, but it's the take away offered six nights a week that's really caught the eye of the good folk of Milton. One to watch - with any luck, the eat-in trade will expand with demand.
