Oh, if only all of Australia's Spanish food were as tasty as that at MoVida, where you'll find fantastic house-made morcilla (blood sausage), cuttlefish on broad beans and wonderful churros with hot chocolate. Luckily, if MoVida keeps up their rate of expansion, you'll soon have one on your block, too.
The third instalment in the MoVida saga, playfully titled Aqui, is designed as the showstopper in their already powerful arsenal. Unlike the tiny, back-alley originals, this MoVida has a sense of grandeur about it. The bigger premises mean more chance of getting in and a bigger kitchen to cook some new elements of Spanish cuisine. Expect to see slow-cooked paellas as a very tasty inclusion to the menu of old favourites.

Did not dissapoint - fantastic!
We wewre a party of 7 that flew in from Qld & NSW just to try Movida Aqui. Having a background in Spanish & Portugese food, we wewre esxcited about Movida's approach to such traditional food. From the moment we arrived we were looked after ... the service was impeccable from Andy & Emma. I can only provide praise for Jimmy and his crew in the kitchen. The restaurant was packed, but the food was given the attention that it deserved ... much of the traditional aspects of the food has been retained and whilst we had 7 +1 courses, I would have been happy if I only had the beef cheeks and the creme caramel. (two very traditional Spanish dishes) ... but each course wowed us. We can't wait to get back to try the rib eye steaks and sardines ... it was a truly memorable night for us with the best service I have experienced in Melbourne and food that was inspirational, honest, and delicious. Well done Movida!

Average
No need for a long review.
Very very average and not really worth all the hype. The lowest point was the paella which does not do Movida's reputation any justice.
Spend your money on Melbourne's other fine dining options before wasting it at Movida. If you're after Spanish food definitely head elsewhere.
