The menu changes constantly and is delivered verbally at this colourful, welcoming eatery. Using organic ingredients where possible, the menu offers tasty North African cuisine at reasonable prices. There aren't many places where you can enjoy a three-course banquet for $17, but this is one of them. All dishes are vegetarian, but they're varied and flavoursome. Soups, of course, are a specialty and change all the time from Egyptian-style lentil to rib-sticking potato.

Fantastic experience!
Seeing the place is fairly small, its smart to have a booking before hand so you're not disappointed.
We had a group booking for eight people, and were comfortably seated on the couches in the corner. The service was very prompt and friendly.
The food was fantastic! especially their signature dish of chickpeas and yoghurt. There was an abundance of food to be shared between eight people.
Overall it was a fantastic experience, I will definitely be back!

Moroccan Wonder
I dont go out for dinner much, so when I do, I want it to be a real experience. This place absolutely delivered on that! We arrived 15 minutes before it opened and by the time it was 6pm there was already a que. I highly suggest getting there before it opens, as you get seated straight away. I've heard there can be hour long waits. Their garden variety mint tea absolutely kicks the ass off of normal, store-bought dried mint tea! And its complimentary while you wait. The service was lovely, great smiles, laid back attitude, we weren't rushed into a decision, but at the same time they knew what'd work for us! The atmosphere... LOVELY! Its like stepping into a Morocco museum, photographs adorn one wall, a shelf with decorative cooking dishes and other things on the other side. Its got a warm, rustic feel and other than other peoples chatter, its quiet enough to hold a conversation, loud enough for a private one! The food was So good, but so much we simply couldn't finish our meal! The saffron rice on anything ROCKS! And the Chickpea, yoghurt (?) and pita chip bowl was ... divine. YAY this place goes on my permanent 'must go' list!

Mmm?
It used to be my fave eatery... until I took my bf and three other male friends last month. Food was great, no doubt, but the service was terrible. It almost felt like they wanted us out, maybe because we weren't all girls. We were not given even a glass of water after asking for it for three times, and the portions were heaps smaller than other tables that I was still hungry when the dessert came (I'm a size 8 female!). And...has banquet gone up to $20 per person? Because other blogs say they are $16.50... and I remember paying something around $15, $16 before, but yeh, it cost us $100 between five of us. Probably because I had such a great impression of the place before, I was even more disappointed.

Delicious, vegetarian heaven for all food lovers
Second visit this time by myself. The banquet spread is best shared but I was still offered a platter of 3 or 4 different dishes, a coffee and dessert for $13! Fantastic flavours. The chickpea dish was divine - I couldn't decide if it was dessert as a little sweet - ate it with main and after! Highly recommended, informal, homely and delicious vegetarian. Lots of people coming with tuperware and leaving with fantastic takeaway too.

Loved it!
It's best to get in early as this place fills up quickly and there are no bookings. Despite waiting an hour for a table, we were quickly seated and given a spearmint tea. We were then given a verbal menu. Waiting staff were very friendly and inquired about allergies while taking our order.
We chose the banquet for $16 each which consisted of a large entree of pita bread and a variety of dips. I was given a bowl of carrots instead of pita bread due to my wheat allergy.
The main was 3 different Moroccan dishes, each accompanied by saffron rice. Each dish was delectable and filling.
The dessert was two Moroccan cakes, which were delicious.
This place was great. I will definitely be returning. There are also a variety of soups on the menu that I'm eager to try.

Worth the wait, a great little eatery
Despite having to come back 45 minutes later for a table (no bookings for groups under 6) we were seated promptly, pleasantly served and given the verbal menu. We chose the banquet... for $16 we got an entree of dips and pita, three delicious Moroccan dishes for mains, and for dessert, which was dissapointingly small, a bite-sized sweet and strong coffee. The food came out quickly one after another, and we were all satisfied and very happily full and finished within the hour! The place is decorated well with Moroccan tagines and pictures on the wall, and the sort of place you go and imagine all the exotic adventures you would like to go on.
Only negatives were the wait and the drinks (they only served mango or guava juice).
Definitely the cheapest and best value for money place I've been to for a while! Worth a visit!
