very good :)
i have been twice now and the food is delicious. the menu is extensive and caters for all, even the fussy eaters! the restaurant is small and cosy but very cute with a nice atmosphere. the one chef cooks everything himself so u have to wait a little but it is worth it. as for price, it is average, not cheap dining but far from expensive. love it here and will always come back!

Morgan's
Friends and I booked at Morgan's on Saturday. The 6 of us arrived and were shown to a very cramped table with no room for the staff to move between easily without being constantly knocked. The menu was a bit of a shock pricewise as they have a listing in this years entertainment book with most meals around the $29 mark. We were misled! Most started off at $36. Ok we don't mind paying if the food is good, but again we were disappointed. A plate of rice with 8 small garlic prawns in sauce for $36! Not good I had the Mediterranean chicken which was just 2 slices of chicken breast, not a full one! Another friend had the lamb shank which was inedible it was so dried up (they did offer to bring us another, but having waited so long already we declined). Out of the 6 of us none were happy with their food. Cold mashed potato, inadequate vegetables ($9.50) And to cap it off the toilet facilities were totally inadequate being only one toilet and the handwash facilities being in the kitchen!

Friday dinner at Morgan's - don't go hungry!
I recently had dinner at Morgans, a place I'd been wanting to try as it looked like such a cosy interesting restaurant.
Luckily when I made the booking & spoke directly to the chef Duncan, he warned me that he is the only chef, and prepares each meal fresh to order so that there could be a wait... I just didn't expect an hour and a half wait.
Unfortunately the service did not compensate at all for the delay - we were ignored, our water was not refreshed, we were not offered any bread or olives or anything to nibble on during such a long wait (and at the prices we paid, a few slices of bread would've been gratefully received).
The menu is very extensive and when the meals finally arrived, they were very enjoyable, and despite initially panicking at the small serving, we found that the taste and quality made it the perfect sizing. I had the pork medallions which very tasty, but very tough. We also had the Mediterranean chicken (on the lighter side for a dinner meal) and the Grecian lamb shanks which was of a good size, and came with a generous amount of gravy. Unfortunately the serving of mash was too small for our meals, at $35 a meal, I'd like to have seen a more generous serving.
Another tip is to be prepared with your wine - this is BYO, and by the time our meals had been served, we were all out! With delays like this, water and bread and service should be offered.
Despite this, the ambience was sweet (albeit a little loud) and the meal was well prepared and of good taste. I'd go again - but armed with more wine, and after a big lunch! We were just too starved with such a long wait.

An evening at Morgan's
On the occasion of my birthday I wanted to go to a really nice restaurant to celebrate. So I decided on Morgan's. It was basically full inside and out. As soon as you arrive you notice the elegant, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful green foliage, soft fairy lights and walls pleasantly covered in paintings on exhibit. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our table, our BYO wine was quickly opened and water served. The menu reads a bit like a book with extensive choices and options. I decided on the salmon steak, which was presented on very large platter, served with a creamy mash and just the right amount of salad. My partner had steak, which was a generous portion cooked perfectly and served with a side dish of vegetable medley. Both mains were very satisfying. We followed with the tiramisu and Cointreau ice cream with chocolate sauce, which was served in an interesting glass and tasted pretty delicious. All in all the night was a great success, relaxed atmosphere, great food and friendly efficient service, with a personal touch.
