Looking for somewhere to go with your amigos? Montezuma's is a fun and flavoursome restaurant for anyone in the mood for Mexicano munchies. Adorned like an ancient Aztec palace, Montezuma's is a colourful dining experience that fully embraces its Latin American roots. The menu takes you from the familiar tastes of tacos, nachos and quesadillas, to lesser known treats like the tamale pie, featuring pure ground beef, sultanas, olives, sweet corn, Mexican spices and herbs, all topped with cheese and accompanied by Spanish rice and salad.

Good Mexican Food, Wish they Respected Mexican Tradition
This is by far the best mexican restaurant in Cairns. Service is usually competent, and margaritas are terrific.
The only complaint? Every Mexican restaurant in the world gives the patrons hot chips and salsa upon sitting down, gratis. This place (like most others in Australia) has the gall to charge $6 for chips from a bag and a poor quality salsa. Not authentic Mexican at all!
And it seems hard to get any hot sauce from anyone. While some like their food bland, this is not Mexican tradition.
