No longer is Chatswood simply a commuting hub or a department store shopping destination. Recent years have seen it grow as a suburb and attract new markets. Testament to this is the success of the Monkey Bar, crossing the boundary between upmarket bar and bistro. The menu has a seafood focus and the range of bar snacks is also quite impressive. Diners should be wary though, as a relaxing corporate lunch has been known to extend into the lazy hours of the afternoon. This can easily be fixed, however, with a glass of wine from their extensive wine list and a bite to eat from the dinner selection.
