Moving to the basement of the refurbished Grand Hyatt Hotel, Greg Malouf's lauded MoMo Restaurant is back after a short break. Offering sublime Middle Eastern fare, MoMo is a lesson in how versatile the cuisine of this region can be.

Malouf's experience is manifold with stints behind the burners at some of Australia's best restaurants. However, with a passion for all things North African and Middle Eastern, Malouf is regarded one of Australia's greatest chefs when it comes to Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare; at MoMo he creates modern dishes that are not merely sensational, they're considered sublime.

One of the main attractions here is the seafood; it is expertly spiced in heady Middle Eastern spice blends, which the chef insists be ground fresh for maximum flavour.

Great Birthday Dinner
I have to start with the decor- my God it is absolutely gorgeous. It is relaxing, beautiful, spacious and perfectly warm - really gorgeous. The service was spot on, absolutely no complaints. The food was the most generous portioned degustation we have had yet. The highlights of the night were Malouf s pigeon bistayeea with Lebanese-style white cabbage salad - my husband's favourite dish of the year, the Kingfish ceviche, smoky baba ganoush, lambs lettuce, sugar-dried olives and hazelnuts and the Orange and lemon verbena delicious bistayeea with pistachio sugar. Definitely make a booking ASAP as this place books out fast, and for good reason.
