Please sir, can I have some Mohr? Yes, an old joke, but still irresistible. As is the seafood at this fantastic little Surry Hills cafe. Lucky for us, there's a pub next door where you can wait for a table, and the staff at Mohr Fish will even duck in to let you know it's your turn to eat.

Love this place
This little fish and chipper has been there for years and no wonder why. Consistent, reliable and in the heart of Surry Hills. Love to take friends to the roomy part next door. Love the old cafe style when there is just two of us. Worth a try or worth going back too. I love the fact that I live near by too or I would have to travel for my fish fix.

Great fish and chips
Best fish and chips in Surry Hills. Eat in with a bottle of wine from next door or do the cheap and cheerful takeaway. Servings are huge (like Mohr & Mohr) and certainly tasty. Love the tartare sauce!

Always a favourite and the regularly changing menu means there is always something new to try. While the lack of bookings means there can be a wait, this is never for too long. And besides, a cleansing ale at the Shakespeare is always a good start.
