Okay.
Dinner at Misuzu's over the weekend was okaaay - not horrible, but not excellent.
Maybe we are missing something, because quite a fuss was made about fitting us in when I called to book a table as they were apparently booked solid, so obviously other people like it...
The food was mostly fine - baked scallop entree and chilli baramundi mains were both very tasty, but an entree of two duck rice paper rolls was hideously overpriced at $18 and the tuna sukiyaki was very flavoursome but let down by surprisingly dry tuna pieces. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, but having to overhear the constant running comentary of senior staff (including complaints about other staff members) did not add to the ambience.
All in all, quite nice food (if a bit pricey) decent service, ok atmosphere, but I won't be going back or recommending to friends. Sorry.

Charming Japanese
Many great things about this place. The decor is lovely--inside is very cosy and the tables outside are overhung by picturesque red lanterns in a tree. Even the menus were craftily done with funky papers and fabrics. There were four menus--one for wines (huge list), one for sakes (huge list again, with pictures and descriptions of each and knowledgeable staff to help you choose), one for meat dishes and one for vegetarian. The food was good to boot--some of the best miso soup I've had. I will definitely be back!
