Value for money, great service, excellent food
As someone from out of town I was looking for a good place to eat in Lismore. Through my work I was recommended to Miss Lizzies by several locals. On Wed night, eating with my 18 year old nephew we went to Miss Lizzies to check out the menu. We were unsure but politely directed to the bitro/eating area out the back. We ate here and both of us had an excellent steak meal. Quality of the food was fantastic and value for money second to none (would not find anything close to this in Sydney). As a result of the excellent service and the quality of the meal, I returned the next day to the restaurant for lunch. Again, Miss Lizzies exceeded my expectations and I left satisfied with my menu selection and the low key but excellent service by the young waiter. On my departure I spoke to the owner of the restaurant and her openness to feedback was refreshing and I would absolutely recommended fellow travellers to Lismore to dine at Miss Lizzies.

NEVER AGAIN!!
The only positive thing that I can say about the place is that it has nice bricks. The rest of the dining experience is absolutely terrible.
We have been to this place before, for our staff christmas parties, and birthdays, but never again!
When we were initially seated, we enquired about vegan food, in which we had a reply 'there's none'. However, the terrace bar which uses the same kitchen had vegan meals, and we have dined previously at Miss Lizzies and have had no problems, but tonight, Miss Lizzies had to be rude. We got our 6 pieces of gnocci (which the waitress did not bother to confirm with the cook that it was vegan, instead saying 'i told you they could do it' when she took our order..which was an outright lie. Our friend ordered a fish curry (he's a non vegan), and got soup with 4 pieces of fish - the size of croutons. On complaint, he sent it back. We went to pay, and we were confronted with the rudest people that I have ever met. It shocked me that people for one were so rude, but also so rude as restaurant owners and managers. What happened to customer service and the customer is always right? It dissappointed me as a local that people are like this in Lismore.
I will never recommend this restuarant to anyone.
