Strongly recomment you find another Spanish Restaurant
After reading a number a of negative reviews I was hesitant to go here but my girlfriend really wanted paella so we decided to give it a shot.
Really wished we hadn't, it was one of the worst dining experience I've ever had.
Overall the food was disappointing but the service is what compelled me write this, my first restaurant review ever.
From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcomed. Even though the place was empty the head waitress just stared at us disapprovingly for an awkward 10 seconds until I broke the silence,

"uh, we'd like a touble for four"
"Do you have a reservation?"
"Ahh, no sorry"
*sigh's/frowns* ...OK, we have a table, you have to be out by eight"

Also, my mums steak was well done when she asked for medium rare - after complaining (which i've never do ) the waitress looked at us blankly and took it away - took it to the head waitress who frowned on, and then walked away - no one said "sorry" or "we'll cook you another one", they just ignored us - when the medium rare steak did arrive, again, the waitress silently put it on our table and walked away...

Also, the paella was soupy - obviously needed another 5-10 minutes, but seeing as we didn't have reservation they were in a hurry to push us out -
also it cost about about $45.00 and had 2 prawns in it which is a bit pricy
Last night I cooked a paella at home after reading a few recipes on the internet and it was much tastier, had a half decent crust on the bottom and was cheaper

I could go on, but in conclusion - if you want spanish food and care about service the smallest amount don't go here... there are plenty of other Spanish restaurants that deserve a chance over this one - Sorry Miro's

Give or take
The restaurant looks cute, however; the lighting needs to be turned down a bit to provide a better atmosphere.

Our waitress was very nice & knowledgeable regarding the food, however; she wasn't very good. We were asked to seat ourselves, which was fine, but when we chose a table she instigated for us to move - which we didn't. She was slow on taking our order and took our meals away prior to us finishing them. Without asking.

The seafood paella was beautiful and so was the calamari tapas. The mushrooms appeared to have been microwaved, as they were piping hot.

All in all, an OK experience. Not the best Spanish I've eaten, but not the worst either.

The seafood paella is worth another sitting.

Christmas Party
Our staff christmas party was held at Miro's and it was a blast. The food was fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared- the inclusion of things like black pudding, octopus and squid ink to the menu meant everyone got to try something new and no one was disappointed with their choice. The service was great too- no mix ups, confusions or disappearing waiters. Our waiter was spanish himself, so he helped us order and had some clever suggestions along with a few laughs.

I will definitely be going back!

Following so many costumer complaints, this place definitively needs some serious look at the management style. While the some of the food provided is ok the service is atrocious.

The last example for us was last night when they brought a bottle of wine of a superior quality of the one ordered. When they realised the mistake and told us about the difference price, we opted for not paying the 30 dollars difference. We could not believe our eyes when the waitress was ordered to remove not only the remaining of the bottle, which was fair enough, but to take away our half-full glasses from the table. No professional restaurateur would incur into such a grotesque and rude act. Obviously, we are not going to that place ever again.

Bad evening
We made a reservation and dined at Miro's in April before we went to a play. There were four of us and we chose to have tapas.

We were pleased at the beginning when we saw the menu and the fact that the restaurant was BYO. The service started out well and then went down hill.

There was a mix up with one of our dishes and all of the dishes were very average and overpriced. Most dishes were not very tasty, were not the right temperature or were just bland.

I want to apply to become Spanish
I'm a novice to Spanish food apart from an addiction to hot smoked spanish paprika.
I was introducing new friends to old ones... both couples keen eaters.
My Brisbane friends suggested Miros. Great choice! Even though it was pouring rain, we felt quite cosy in the annex. We were hopeless at ordering! Talking too much... But it worked out well. We ordered and ate lots of the tapas dishes and the paella. Lucky for us the kitchen was much wiser than us and sent out food in a good progression.
This is good, honest food made with love and passion with great ingredients, served by people that enjoy what they do. My favs were the potatas bravas salad, sardines, paella, chorizo..... it was all good. The mouthful of the caramel custard dessert stolen from the kid's plate was also magic.
Go there!

Fabulous food & sangria
Great & attentive service, and the food was absolutely sublime. Particularly the calamari, olives & mushroom tapas. Paella was fantastic. Watch out for the sangria, it's so sublime you'll go from that to ridiculous in a very short time.
