There is a plethora of dishes to sample without blowing out your budget. The servings are large and the tapas are simply delicious. Be careful though: olive oil and garlic feature prominently in some dishes. In Spain, tapas is bar food, to be eaten standing up at a bar while drinking. While Australian tapas has yet to get to the standing up bit, Miro offers plenty of opportunity to imbibe via a reasonable wine list, or if you are in a genuinely thirsty mood, a jug of sangria.

The decor and atmosphere at Miro was really quite vibrant with good Spanish music played at the perfect level. The service was good, but inconsistent, however, even if the service was better, it would not have made up for the quality of the food. Certainly the serving portions were very large - but this is not my idea of tapas (I prefer to enjoy a variety of small dishes). The real disappointment came with the quality of the food.
The mussels were not at all fresh. The mushrooms were lacking flavour, as were the garlic prawns! Tuna croquettes were reasonable, but just too many in a serve (if you had a larger party to share with this dish would be ok). Spicy potatoes were excellent - great deal of spice and flavour. I can only guess that the food is largely pre-cooked and is certainly kept beyond it's best date - thus the lack of flavour unless doused in chilli. Even the sangria was without the usual flavours of that normally enjoyable beverage.
