Good food
I picked this restaurant to go on a date on a Wednesday night. We were the only two people in the restaurant. They have certainly put some thought into the decor and it doesn't disappoint. They didn't have the wine we wanted and we ended up having a merlot, which was quite good. The menu is not extensive, but includes some exotic different dishes. We had a Kashmiri chicken curry and a lamb curry. Both were delicious and we were happy with it. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The service was prompt and efficient, although there were no other people present!
Overall, an enjoyable experience and will definitely return sometime.

My fave Indian food
I have eaten at this restaurant every week for about the last 2 years (it's around the corner). It is my favourite Indian restaurant. I always know what to expect. My main issue with Indian restaurants was always the quality of the meat - these guys have fantastic meat. I usually get chicken - it's perfect - tender and moist. Also a good variety of food on the menu to choose from.

And the naans - they are PERFECT. Not thick like you're eating Turkish bread or thin like crackers - just right! I love their garlic naans - smeared with garlic all over!

I recommend this place to all my friends. I do agree that it is very spicy compared to other Indian restaurants I've been to, and I recommend going half a strength down to what you get (e.g. medium = mild to medium).

The service 9/10 times is perfect. I speak to the guy who is always there, whenever he is there you get looked after really well. Unfortunately when he isn't there the food takes longer and the staff are not on their toes at all and have forgotten and made plenty of mistakes.

Romantic dinner
Me and my very hot girl went to Mint before a show in the Valley and I have to say the food was amazing, especially the lamb cutlets as entree and the salmon in red curry as main. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and the service was A1. Cool decor. A really great evening!

Awesome experience
A group of 6 of us went for dinner for my birthday on a Saturday night at 7.30pm and we were all extremely impressed with the decor and atmosphere. The meals were very reasonably priced and extremely yummy! A word of warning though: medium is very hot. I ordered veef vindaloo and I am lover of this curry and it can be quite hot however this is the hottest I have ever had it but it was still just divine. All meals are very fresh and the meat is extremely soft to eat. The service was good and we were given an apology at the end for the service because some staff were away for they had exams. This was not noticed. Our table was looked after very well.

After reading a rave review in Brisbane's 'Style' street paper, I couldnt resist the temptation. I love Indian and certainly am no newcomer to this cuisine.
Great decor was my first impression, lack of service was the next. Lentil patties and anise tandoori chicken left nothing but a question of "Have I lost my tastebuds, or can Indian be so bland?" Not the start I wanted.
For mains, was salmon in a tomato-based curry and the 'not to be missed, rave to your friends' rose petal raan (leg of lamb). The more I tried, the harder I could believe the lack of taste. As for the lemon rice, I thought it would mean more then just being yellow.
My local Indian takeaway dazzles the senses more than this, at a third of the price. Very high expectations were met with a below-average experience.

Outstanding!
We have been to Mint Indian Gourmet twice in the last two weeks. The first time it was just me and my boyfriend as part of his birthday celebration. The service, food, ambience was all superb!

Tonight was our second time and this time we went with four other rather discerning restaurant-goers and the evening has been another resounding success! All the waiters who attended our table were friendly and helpful. The service is present when you need it and always subtle and unobtrusive. The food is delicious, full of flavour. Requests for extra hot were met with gusto! Everyone left feeling satisfied. You have to try the desserts, they were a perfect finish! And I like having only two to chose from. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Excellent gourmet Indian food...one of the Valley's best kept secrets.
A great change from the usual cliched Indian restaurants. Subtle flavours and unusual menu choices make ordering a series of temptations. Every selection was excellent. Will definitely be back for more.

Great Change
This restaurant has surprising originality as far as Indian restaurants are concerned. It's a fresh change from the norm in Brisbane, with outstanding service, food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this venue for anyone who enjoys a more stylish dining experience.

Corkage charged
This place does charge corkage of $3 each. Food was good and tasty. Reasonably priced. The raan is most expensive, double all the others. Not sure if it's worth double.

Service left a lot to be desired. Apologetic at the end as I complained, but otherwise very average. Nice decor and setting - very urban.
