Lavishly decorated in rich red and gold from floor to ceiling, Mings announces itself as an Oriental eatery before one even steps through the doors - or rather, through the golden latticework archway. Situated in the Crown Casino complex, Mings provides an opulent sanctuary in the midst of all the gambling action. Every feature of the space (every Chinese vase and jeweled chandelier) serves as an introduction to the authentic Cantonese menu. Chinese favourites - from Peking duck to deep-fried ice cream - are all present and correct, but many dishes get a dash of modern flair, ensuring that more adventurous diners are kept interested.
