With gorgeous views of the Swan Valley, set in beautiful gardens surrounded by grand old trees and wildlife, Milston Gardens Restaurant is as pretty as a picture. And if you can turn away from that view for two seconds, you'll soon find the menu is rather impressive too. The extensive selection of snacks and formal lunches, from toasted panini to the slow braised lamb shank, has a strong focus on local produce; and being fully licensed the restaurant also provides many local wines. After your meal, take a stroll through the gardens (where you will most definitely fall victim to the hunger bug again) and return to a fabulous Devonshire tea on the verandah.

If you want cheap food?
The four of us went on a Friday lunchtime, we did not book, we turned up at 12:30pm and there were a few people there already, mainly older people of retirement age. 30mins later people were walking in and it soon filled up. We were shown to a table by the waitress who was struggling to cope with taking orders and serving the drinks and food but was very cheerful. The menu is quite large, we decided on 2 steak sandwiches and 2 steaks. We were served our drinks and only waited 15 mins before our meals arrived. The steak sandwiches were piled high with chips and big pieces of bread with a very thin piece of steak. For the steak we asked for 1 rare and 1 medium, we had 1 medium (which should have been the rare) and 1 well done (which should have been the medium) this had crushed baby potatoes with garlic(i think they must have been reheated as were very chewey) and sour cream sauce with pieces of deep fried bacon on top. If your looking for a big feast and dont mind the extra thousand calories you will digest then this is the place to go. The meal came to $115.00 which included 1 glass of wine, 1 beer and 2 cokes so not badly prices but my stomach afterwards wasnt happy with the amount of grease i had just eaten. I wouldnt go back even though the service was good but the food just lets it down.
