our favourite
We recently went, with a large group, the service was great, and the menu was much better variety than the same old italian dishes. The venison and duck were great. Great wine, and atmosphere, all were happy!!

Disappointing
After reading the menu and spotting the cryptic 'best restaurant award (2006)' at the beginning (no mention of who the award was from), I thought maybe we were in for a treat. Was left to brood over the menu for a long time and ordered a bottle of sparkling water that was brought unopened (non-screw lid) with no glasses. My friend ordered the smoked salmon ravioli which was quite nice for a mouthful or two but was very very salty and unpleasant after that. I ordered the creamy prawn fettucini with limoncello, but the limoncello was very overpowering and made the sauce too sweet. One plus was the glass of pinot gris I ordered, really lovely and very very generously poured! We made the wise decision to go elsewhere for dessert.
