Despite its unappealing facade (this eatery is located in a suburban shopping mall), this restaurant boasts some of Perth's best Japanese cuisine, with sushi and sashimi featuring prominently. Other items on the menu here include cloud-like tempura, golden dollops of agadashi tofu, and the odd soba and udon noodle dish. While not emanating the pomp and circumstance of many other Japanese eateries throughout Perth, Mikado offers up the type of food that people want to eat: food that is both soul-warming and tasty.
