Sitting atop the infamous golden arches at a bustling CBD intersection, this shabby hotel is probably an unlikely candidate for an urban oasis, but if you transcend the greasy burger chain and booze-soaked carpet of the main bar to the excellent rooftop terrace, a solid little city sanctuary awaits.
With a great tap beer selection and generous bistro menu, this central pub proves popular with the corporate types and local journos. Pub stalwarts - such as the chicken parma, lamb shanks and rump steak - are all freshly prepared and definitely a step above your average pub grub. They also have a basic selection of traditional pizzas available all day and some surprisingly good salads.
